Mike Magee channels inner Ferris Bueller in MLS video

In an attempt to get some attention back after being overshadowed by the World Cup, the MLS put out this parody video of the trailer for Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

For the past month the MLS has been overshadowed on the pitch by the best soccer players on the planet battling for the World Cup in Brazil.

In a clear attempt to get some attention back, the league decided to spoof Ferris Bueller's Day Off because — well, do you really need a reason to reference this classic?

The parody video stars Chicago Fire forward Mike Magee. Watch for guest appearances from Thierry Henry, Michael Bradley and Dwayne De Rosario.

You may or may not have a desire to skip work and watch a soccer game after viewing this trailer.

It's likely the MLS is trying to drum up some social media chatter ahead of its all-star game on Aug. 6 in Portland, Ore.
