Germany can beat World Cup heat

Germany and the rest of Europe's World Cup contingent will all have to manage the searing heat in Brazil, which may put a wrench into Die Mannschaft's plans to hoist the trophy in July.

Germany and the rest of Europe's World Cup contingent will all have to manage the searing heat in Brazil, which may put a wrench into Die Mannschaft's plans to hoist the trophy in July. 

The Germans blazed through European qualifying to earn a spot in Rio, winning nine of 10 matches to easily win top spot in Group C, and are a major favourite heading into the tournament.

Germany is arriving in Brazil early in hopes that the squad will acclimatize better to the warmer temperatures.
