The Pan Am Games men's basketball tournament is underway and the Canadians have a chance at following in the golden footsteps of the women's team.

Canada kicked off the competition with a 105-88 win against the Dominican Republic on Tuesday. The team will continue in the preliminaries, facing Argentina and Mexico before the semifinals (all games will be available for live streaming via CBCSports.ca).

A mix of NBA players, international players and rookies make up the 12-man roster. However, some team members are anticipated to make greater game-changing marks during the contest.
