Canada sends 5 figure skaters to Cup of China

Five Canadian skaters will compete this weekend at the Cup of China, the third of six stops on the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating.
They include:
- Elladj Balde, 24.
- Lubov Ilyushechkina, 24, and Dylan Moscovitch, 31.
- Vanessa Grenier, 23, and Maxime Deschamps, 23.
Balde is Canada's only entry in the men's category. It is his first time competing at this event, and his first Grand Prix event of the 2015-16 season.
Cup of China is Ilyuschechkina and Moscovitch's first Grand Prix event of the season. They finished 13th at last year's world championships and second at nationals. Teammates Grenier and Deschamps competed last weekend at Skate Canada, where they finished seventh.

4 a.m. — Ladies' short
6 a.m. — Men's short
8 a.m. — Pairs short
SATURDAY (all times ET):
2 a.m. — Dance free
3:35 a.m. — Ladies' free
5:45 a.m. — Men's free
8 a.m. — Pairs free
