On Tuesday, Black finished first all-around, placing first on her vault and floor routine. The 20-year-old reigning Pan Am champion was third on the beam and uneven bars.
"To know you're officially on the team is pretty incredible," Black told CBC News Wednesday. "But we know there is still a lot of hard work to come.
"Overall I was really happy with my performances. I had a sore wrist coming into this week so I wasn't sure exactly how it was going to go. I knew I just had to go out there and do my best."
