Earlier in the week, the 31-year-old — along with brakesman Alex Kopacz — drove his two-man sled to Olympic gold. Kripps was fourth in last season's four-man World Cup rankings. Canada-3, piloted by Nick Poloniato, is tied for 13th while Canada-2, piloted by Christopher Spring, sits 15th.

  • Men's hockey, OAR vs. Germany, Saturday, 11:10 p.m. ET

After being upset in their opening game against Slovakia, the Olympic Athletes from Russia have steam-rolled through the rest of the competition to book their spot in the gold-medal game.

It's been 26 years since Russia won Olympic gold in men's hockey, when they were part of the Unified Team after the fall of the Soviet Union.

It may also spell the end of Pavel Datsyuk's international career as he searches for that elusive Olympic gold.

Germany hopes to complete its Cinderella run, which included upset victories over Sweden in the quarters and Canada in the semis. Germany has never won gold in Olympic hockey.

  • Closing ceremony, Sunday, 6 a.m.-8 a.m. ET

Short-track speed skater Kim Boutin will carry Canada's flag and will lead the nation's delegation of athletes into the Pyeongchang Olympic Stadium.

The 23-year-old from Sherbrooke, Que., won three medals in her Olympic debut, including bronze in the 500 and 1,500-metres and silver in the 1,000.
