This week the Canadian ski cross team made its way to the Austrian hills for training and to compete in the Europa Cup — an event leading into the 2015-16 World Cup circuit.

Veteran skier Chris Del Bosco initially had fans nervous about the lack of snow overseas.

But, teammate Dave Duncan updated everyone once Austria got more snow coverage.

Ian Deans expressed his excitement for the season to start.

While teammate Brady Leman got a different perspective than usual on the Pitztaler Gletscher course.

Former alpine skier Mathieu Leduc thanked his supporters going into his first race in nearly two years.

And women's team member Kelsey Serwa is happy to be back on the podium rather than in a classroom.

Kelsey wasn't the only Canadian to earn a medal in Austria. Louis-Pierre Helie stood atop the podium with some familiar faces.

Finally, next-generation Canadian ski cross racer Kevin Drury gave everyone a behind-the-scenes look at the Austrian starting blocks.

The Canadian ski cross team will kick off the World Cup season on December 4th.

In the meantime you can catch the men's alpine team competing on home soil next weekend in Lake Louise, Alta.
