Before the first pitch was thrown in the World Series, Sports Gods took the opportunity to highlight the good fortune America's past-time has experienced of late, compared to the misfortune faced by the No. 1 sport in the U.S.

Talk about underlining the good and bad in sports.

Sports Gods, a video produced by Bleacher Report, was posted by the sports website today.

The video pokes fun at the recent dreamlike fantasy scenarios that have become reality in Major League Baseball, including the unbelievable culmination of Derek Jeter's career, and Travis Ishikawa's NLCS walk-off home run.

On the other side of the good fortune, a brooding football holiness.

After his less than divine decisions, which have resulted in a choir of criticism for the NFL, the football god takes out his frustrations on the rest of the tutelaries, including mocking the god of hockey for his inability to garner high television ratings during the NHL playoffs.
