Rob Ford offers suggestions to rebuild Leafs

Former Toronto mayor Rob Ford played the role of executive on Twitter Tuesday, offering up his advice on what the Maple Leafs' off-season moves should be, including the hiring of one current coach and another former bench boss.

Says team should hire Babcock as GM, Keenan as coach

Rob Ford's new role as a board member at the Hockey Hall of Fame is not a full-time gig, so Toronto's former mayor decided to weigh in on the Maple Leafs' off-season rebuilding effort, including who should lead the team.

Ford is also a big fan of Eric Brewer, a player who'd make a great seventh defender, and Zach Sill, who is best known for registering 20 points and 68 penalty minutes as a member of the Maritime Junior Hockey League's Truro Bearcats.

Sill and Brewer, who were acquired around the trade deadline by the Leafs in separate deals, will both be unrestricted free agents this summer.
