Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber responded to a Matt Cooke cheap shot in a very big way.

Minnesota Wild forward Matt Cooke bit off more than he could chew when he went after Nashville Predators captain Shea Weber in a game Saturday night.

After taking a Cooke cross-check to the face, Weber lost it on the cheap shot artist.

Cooke's play did little to encourage his teammates, as the Wild ultimately lost 3-1.

With a rap sheet as long as Cooke's, it's safe to say that he won't garner much sympathy from anyone. He rebounded Sunday night by spoiling Corey Crawford's shutout in a 4-1 loss to the Chicago Blackhawks.
