The Ducks forward showed the Canadian Olympic team brass that his sprained left ankle is not bothering him. He scored twice and added two assists in Anaheim’s 7-3 win in Edmonton.

SECOND STAR: Erik Christensen, C, N.Y. Rangers

He scored twice and assisted on another goal in the Rangers' 5-2 win at home  against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Christensen was plucked off the waiver wire in December and played his finest game for the Rangers.

THIRD STAR: Alex Kovalev, RW, Ottawa

The Senators sniper helped Ottawa overcome a two-goal deficit after two periods for a 4-3 come-from-behind win on Long Island against the Islanders. It was the Senators' 14th win in 16 games to move them back atop the Northeast Division standings.
