FIRST STAR: Miikka Kiprusoff, G, Calgary

The stingy goaltender helped extend Calgary's win streak to four games with a 34-save shutout in a 2-0 win at home against the Ottawa Senators. The victory allowed the Flames to tie the seventh-place Nashville Predators at 77 points and keep one point in front of the Detroit Red Wings in the battle for the final two playoff spots in the Western Conference.

SECOND STAR: Joe Pavelski, C, San Jose

The United States Olympian scored twice and assisted on two other goals to help the Sharks register a come-from-behind 8-5 victory at home against the Nashville Predators. All of Pavelski's points came in the third period when San Jose scored six times.

THIRD STAR: Sergei Kostitsyn, LW, Montreal

In the Canadiens' 5-4 shootout win over Edmonton at the Bell Centre, he helped set up the 3-2 go-ahead goal from linemate Travis Moen and scored the 4-3 go-ahead goal in the third period. Kostitsyn then watched his older brother, Andrei, score the shootout winner.
