The Colorado Avalanche have run into more injury trouble: Defenceman Adam Foote and forward Ian Laperriere will miss Tuesday's game in Nashville.

Foote, 37, sustained a triceps injury in Sunday night's 2-0 home loss to Minnesota. The defenceman, who has four points (no goals) in 30 games, will be re-evaluated later this week.

Foote missed nine games in December with a back injury.

Laperriere, 34, is listed as day-to-day with a stiff back. He has 13 points (four goals) in 38 games.

The Avalanche, who return home to face Chicago on Thursday night, are already without top centres Joe Sakic (back, hand) and Paul Stastny (broken arm).

Colorado (19-19-1), which is tied with Edmonton for last place in the Northwest Division heading into Monday night's action, have been outscored 11-2 in losing their last three.
