CHAT REPLAY: Can Flames maintain hot start?

Jay Bouwmeester is the new man in Calgary, but fellow Flames David Moss and Miikka Kiprusoff have also grabbed plenty of headlines in the first week of the NHL season.

Moss rewarded new head coach Brent Sutter for inserting him on the top forward line with Olli Jokinen and captain Jarome Iginla by scoring a pair of goals in the first two games.

Kiprusoff, traditionally a slow starter in goal, looked strong in victories over division rivals Vancouver and Edmonton and has three wins in as many starts to go with a 3.00 goals-against average and .915 save percentage.

Fast starts have also been a constant as Calgary has outscored the opposition 6-3 in the first period.

Do you like Moss's presence on the top line? How about Sutter's strategy of matching his No. 1 unit against the opposition's best forwards? Can the Flames improve upon last season's fifth-place finish in the Western Conference?
