Julien Pillet, Boris Sanson, Nicolas Lopez and Vincent Anstett beat Ukraine 45-41 in the sabre final while Russia claimed the bronze.

The Canadian team of Philippe Beaudry, Pierre-Philippe Gouin and Michel Boulos of Montreal and Nicolas Mayer of Mont Royal, Que., finished 14th.

In women's team epee, Na Li, Xiaojuan Luo, Li Zhang and Weiping Zhong defeated the defending French champions 45-26. Germany took third place.

Sherraine MacKay of Brooks, Alta., Catherine Dunnette of Calgary, Julie Leprohon of Montreal and Ainsley Switzer of Ajax, Ont., were 15th.
