Manning, Colts to visit Toronto in pre-season
The Buffalo Bills will host the Indianapolis Colts at the Rogers Centre in Toronto during the second week of the pre-season, it was announced Wednesday.
The Bills are in the third year of a five-year arrangement in which they host eight games in Toronto. The team played Pittsburgh in the pre-season and Miami in the regular season in 2008, with a Toronto date against the New York Jets last November.
Buffalo won the pre-season game against the Steelers but lost the two regular season games that have taken place in Canada.
The specific date for the Colts-Bills game wasn't released by the league, but each teams' website reported it would take place on Aug. 19.
In addition to the Indianapolis game, Buffalo hosts Cincinnati at Ralph Wilson Stadium and plays pre-season road games against Washington and Detroit.
The Bills will also host a regular season game at Rogers Centre in 2010, with the NFL to release the full league schedule sometime next month.
The Colts, led by league most valuable player Peyton Manning, are coming off a Super Bowl upset loss to New Orleans.
According to the NFL's website, Cincinnati and the Dallas Cowboys will kick off the pre-season slate in the Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio on Aug. 8.
The New York Jets and Giants will show off their new Meadowlands Stadium facility for the first time in a pre-season tilt on Aug. 16.
