Duncan given the boot by Cardinals
The Arizona Cardinals released kicker Tim Duncan Monday.
Duncan, who was signed on October 3 after Bill Gramatica was experiencing back pain, made only 6-of-10 field goal tries this year and 5-of-6 extra points.
The 24-year-old Duncan attended Arizona's training camp in 2002, but was waived shortly after before being added to the practice squad for the final five games of the season.
Duncan was released again this year prior to the start of the season, but was signed to handle the placekicking when Gramatica started to feel discomfort in the back.
The Cardinals will be working out kickers Jeff Chandler and Neil Rackers this week.
