Who said cross-country wasn't a contact sport? NCAA cross-country runner Justin DeLuzio was hit by a deer while competing in the Mideast Regional championships.

Watch out for that ... deer?

Gwynedd Mercy University senior Jusin DeLuzio was barrelled over by one of several deer during the Mideast Regional championships in Pennsylvania. (@Milesplit/ Twitter)

Who said cross-country wasn't a contact sport?

Just ask NCAA cross-country runner Justin DeLuzio what he thinks after he was hit by a deer while competing in the Mideast Regional championships in Pennsylvania.

Oh, deer is right! DeLuzio is "a little sore and bruised up," but OK and finished the race.

Although DeLuzio got hit by what looked like a "linebacker" deer, the senior from Gwynedd Mercy University has become somewhat "Twitter famous" since the video went viral.

With Christmas right around the corner, who knew that Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer would have such relevance.
