Rugby is a hard, physical sport. Players put a lot of time and work in to their fitness, strength and speed to stay in peak condition. Rising Canadian rugby star, Caroline Crossley, can attest to the amount of time her teammates train and workout to remain fit. Currently, Crossley is working on building her upper body strength which doesn’t come naturally to her.
“Accept your body. See it for the things it can do outside of it looking good or fitting into clothes. The sooner you accept your body for the way it is, the happier you will be."
Crossley says ultimately, rugby is more than body types or “how jacked” players are. It isn’t what your body looks like but rather it’s the skills the athlete has that is most important.
