The Toronto Blue Jays signed reliever Shawn Camp to a minor-league contract on Monday, with an invitation to spring training.

The Toronto Blue Jays on Monday signed reliever Shawn Camp to a minor-league contract, with an invitation to spring training.

Camp, 32, pitched in 50 games for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays last season, posting an 0-3 record and 7.20 earned-run average.

The right-hander permitted 63 hits over 40 innings last season, striking out 36 batters and walking 18.

Camp is 10-13 with a 5.27 ERA and six saves in 197 relief appearances since making his major-league debut for the Kansas City Royals on May 5, 2004.

He joined Tampa Bay in 2006.
