Your View: What's wrong with Team Canada?
It wasn't supposed to be this difficult.
Canada was supposed to whip the competition en route to winning the gold medal on home soil. And while its gold-medal hopes aren't yet dashed, it isn't a given that the Canadians will be able to come back to reach the medal podium.
After throttling Norway 8-0 in its opening game of the Olympic men's hockey tournament, Canada stumbled to a 3-2 shootout over Switzerland before suffering a demoralizing 5-3 loss to the U.S. on Sunday.
Canada has to win four games in six days to win the gold, starting with a second-round matchup against Germany on Tuesday.
"It's the situation we find ourselves in," Canada captain Scott Niedermayer said. "We'll try and make the best of it."
What do you think Canada has to do to turn things around?
Should coach Mike Babcock make drastic changes to his offensive lines? Should he shake up his defensive pairings? Who should start in goal: Martin Brodeur or Roberto Luongo?
