About Michelle

Paralympian, Calmar, AB

Michelle has thrived through adversity, inspiring everyone she meets along the way. In 2011, she was in a life-threatening motorcycle accident that left her on life support for seven days, breaking several major bones in her body and losing her right leg above the knee. Eight months later she was on a snowboard and two and a half years later she competed in the Sochi Olympics as Canada's first female Paralympic snowboarder. She is a six-time World Cup medalist.

Beyond her incredible physical achievements Michelle is also a successful real estate agent who loves to help her clients find their dream homes, make the right deals and guide them along the way. She also loves to write and is currently working on sharing her story in her autobiography.

Michelle never gives up, has the grit and determination to push through anything and knows the true definition of perseverance, which will serve her well in her quest to be named Canada’s Smartest Person.
