Sasha Fisher is a producer from Toronto. Her passion and fierce commitment to producing documentary content is evident in her work, resulting in innovative and stunning media. Sasha focuses her talents in the areas of social justice and human rights.
Sasha is producing feature-length documentary called Mrs. Judy’s Secret, about a music teacher and a mother who secretly worked with Jewish community leaders in Syria to rescue over 3,000 of the country’s oppressed Jewish population. Sasha is also managing the production of a long form documentary titled The Brain Body-Connection, a film about one man’s journey to heal his sight through the science of neuroplasticity and to understand how the brain, the body and the systems of the natural world are deeply interconnected.
Currently, Sasha in development on a documentary web-series titled Kacie and Sasha in Haiti. Kacie and Sasha in Haiti provides an in-depth comprehensive look into a place in the world doesn’t have much access to. Sasha produced PYOTR495 which was awarded the 2016 Best Horror Short Grand Prize at the Rhode Island International Film Festival and screened at the Inside Out Film Festival, Portland Film Festival, Southwest LGBT Film Festival, Hong Kong LGBT Film Festival, Frameline, Sitges International Film Festival and is still screening at film festivals around the world.
