Danae Elon is an award winning documentary filmmaker, producer and cinematographer.

Danae Elon is an award winning documentary filmmaker, producer and cinematographer. She is the recipient of a 2009 Guggenheim fellowship in film.

Her last film A Sister’s Song won an Iris award for Best Cinematography and was nominated for Best Editing. She won Best Director award from the Moscow Documentary film festival and an AIDC award for innovation in Documentary filmmaking. The film showcased at Leipzig Doc, IDFA, FIPA Doc.

Her previous films Another Road Home (2004), Partly Private (2007), P.S Jerusalem (2015) and A Patriarch’s Room (2016) have been showcased at TIFF, Berlin, Tribeca, IDFA, Hot Docs, Melbourne IFF, Human Rights watch FF, and many other international film festivals. They have also been theatrically released in the US and Canada and broadcast on the BBC, ARTE, The Sundance Channel, Radio Canada, YLE Finland, TV2, Canal Vie Denmark, HOT and CHANNEL 1 Israel, AL JAZEERA International and others.

She is currently preparing a feature film on the architecture of power in Jerusalem as well as a VR project about Moshe Safdie in Jerusalem.
