Chris Elliott

Chris Elliott is an actor, comedian, writer, and author best known for his comedic sketches on Late Night With David Letterman, the cult comedy series Get A Life, his recurring roles on Everybody Loves Raymond and How I Met Your Mother, and his performances in films such as Cabin Boy, Scary Movie 2, Something About Mary, and Groundhog Day. Other feature films include The Rewrite, starring Hugh Grant, comedy-drama, Frat Star, the romantic mystery, Paper Anchor, and the comedy Better Off Single. Recently he appeared in Fresh off the Boat and Friends From College, with other roles on The Good Wife, Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick, and the last season of Nurse Jackie.

He currently stars in Schitt’s Creek, a single-cam half-hour comedy for CBC, opposite Eugene Levy, Catherine O’Hara, and Dan Levy. Elliott plays Roland Schitt, the mayor of Schitt’s Creek. He can most recently be seen starring in the independent film Clara’s Ghost, which was nominated for the 2019 Audience Award at Sundance.

Elliott is also the star of the Adult Swim series Eagleheart and has written four books, including the unauthorized autobiography, The Guy Under the Sheets. Elliott has won innumerable awards including four Primetime Emmy Awards for writing. Most recently he won Best Supporting Actor at the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards for his performance in Schitt’s Creek.
