White Coat, Black Art

Remember when we "Park(ed) Your Frustration?"

As Ontario moves to freeze the cost of parking at hospitals, we go back to the episode that sparked the conversation. "Park Your Frustration" aired back in October, 2011.

This week, the Ontario government announced it is freezing the price of parking at all the province's hospitals and forcing every hospital that charges more than $10 a day to offer discounts for longer-term users.

"We believe that parking fees should not be a barrier to health care,"Health Minister Eric Hoskins said. "This announcement will make a difference for those who regularly visit our hospitals."

White Coat, Black Art first raised the issue in 2011, with an episode we called "Park Your Frustation."

The episode sparked calls to address the issue, including an editorial in the Canadian Medical Association Journal

Given the latest news, we're re-posting the episode, which was one of our most popular programs.
