Nestled in the undulating fields of southern Texas sits a brand new multi-lane highway that appears to be no different than any other American freeway. Yet this 3 lane motorway, connecting Houston and Dallas, is  remarkably unique because it's North America's first private, luxury highway.

"It's comforting knowing who you're sharing the road with and even more comforting knowing who you're not sharing the road with."

William Clack Jr., freeway owner

With an initiation fee of $65,000, founder William Clack Jr. says the highway provides a driving experience that Texans won't find anywhere else.

"This is for people who are tired of sharing the road with regular folk and want to put the luxury back into America's favourite pastime, " says Clack.

"The wealthy deserve the privilege of having their own highway and now they can finally live out that dream."

In this documentary we visit Texas to learn more about the unique features of America's most glamorous freeway.
