R&B singer Loony feels that reading Bone by Yrsa Daley-Ward is a life-changer
Loony is a Toronto-based indie R&B singer-songwriter. Her recent Joyride EP was released to critical acclaim, her popular songs include Be Cool, In Code and Good Game — and she's been praised by artists such as Elton John.
Loony dropped by The Next Chapter to talk about the book she's reading, the poetry collection Bone by English author Yrsa Daley-Ward.
"Usually I find myself reading a lot of prose and a lot of fiction. I'm picky with poetry — but I'm very, very into this particular book of poetry. It's kind of changing my life.
The poems deal a lot with mental health, the discovery of self, and the shadow parts of oneself when it comes to trauma.

"It's interesting because the poems are super personal, but in a weird way, it makes them more relatable."
