Our guest on this episode is technology writer and researcher Alexandra Samuel. Alex helps organizations take advantage of social media and digital tools. She's smart. She's got a PhD from Harvard. So it was delightful to have her turn her sharp mind inward to explore how she became the person she is today from talking back to teachers, to exploding spermicide, to fretting about the total collapse of civilization.

The show was taped in front of a live audience at the CBC studio in Vancouver. The improvisers on this episode are Denise Jones, Veena Sood and Jeff Gladstone. It was directed by Ryan Gladstone.
