Today on The Current:

Many Canadians are winding down for the next few days, but some front-line health workers will still be at work over the holiday period, helping patients and fighting COVID-19. Laura Lynch talks to Dr. Alexander Wong, infectious diseases doctor at Regina General Hospital; Naveed Hussain, a registered nurse at McGill University Health Centre; and David Leary, a paramedic in Vancouver who is speaking on behalf of the Ambulance Paramedics of B.C.

Then, we pay a visit to Stuart McLean's Vinyl Cafe. In this classic episode, Dave tries to take some of the weight off Morley's shoulders, by offering to cook the turkey this year. [Note: The Vinyl Cafe story that aired in this broadcast is no longer available online.]

And while Christmas will be different this year because of the pandemic, one constant is the music. We're diving into some Christmas classics with conductor and music historian Kevin Zakresky.
