The Spark: Jacob & Kristine Barnett
The story of Jacob Barnett and his mom, Kristine Barnett
Anna Maria Tremonti's interview with Jacob Barnett and his mother Kristine, was one of the most popular interviews of the past season.
Jacob Barnett is now 15... but he captured the world's attention before becoming a teenager - as the boy with the IQ higher than Einstein's... the university student whose books were heavier than he was.

At nine, Jacob began work on an original theory of astrophysics. There are predictions his ideas may some day earn him a Nobel prize.
But behind the headlines, is an even more remarkable story. His mother, Kristine Barnett, struggled to find ways to connect with her son --- diagnosed with autism when he was two years old.
She documents the family's journey in her book: The Spark: A mother's story of nurturing genius.
Anna Maria Tremonti interviewed Kristine and Jacob Barnett last May in our Toronto studio.
This segment was produced by The Current's Josh Bloch.
