"There but for the grace of God…" - Louie Palu

(Originally aired Feb 8, 2015) Meet Louie Palu, documentary photographer, whose work bears witness to the human spirit in the deadliest parts of the world.

Louie Palu goes to the scariest places: the Afghan War, parts of Mexico controlled by drug cartels, inside Guantanamo Bay prison and, closer to home, the streets in Toronto where homeless people live.

Louie's photography has been described as bearing witness to his human subjects. But what happens to your spirit when your job is relentless at taking you into the dark?

'Great... I got here. I photographed it all. I can't find my way out.' -Louie Palu
