YouTube has revolutionized the way we interact with videos online. It's changed the way we search for content, listen to music and learn new things, and it's created a space for emerging artists to bypass the gatekeepers — but at what cost?

The video streaming platform launched 15 years ago today. It now hosts more than five billion videos with more than two billion people using the site every month, but along the way things have become complicated. From algorithm changes to the burnout, anxiety and financial instability that comes along with making it as a YouTuber, the platform has had its share of challenges over the years.
