David Sedaris shares a short q road story

The American comedian and author shares his very own q road story.
David Sedaris's new book is a collection of his diary entries dating back to 1977. (Ingrid Christie )

Last week on the show, David Sedaris read one of his new essays from his upcoming book Calypso. If you're not familiar with Sedaris, and if you haven't heard him on public radio before, he's the kind of storyteller who's got an endless well to pull from. He writes a lot about the strange and funny things he's lived through.

Today, Sedaris shares his very own q road story. Next month, he'll drop by the q studio to talk about his new book and tell a few stories.
