Musician Allie's debut album is a 'family affair' with Toronto's up-and-coming talents

Toronto singer Allie is ready to take her place among Toronto's most buzzed about artists with the release of her debut album Nightshade.

Allie (styled a l l i e) is a rising singer-songwriter from Toronto who has worked with many other artists from the scene, including Charlotte Day Wilson, River Tiber and Harrison, to name a few. She brings this spirit of collaboration and a uniquely futuristic blend of electronic and R&B to the q studio, performing "Bad Habits" and "Broken Telephone" from her upcoming album, Nightshade, which is being released on July 21.

Guest host Ali Hassan talks to Allie about how her family's deep musical background and her genuine love of the wilderness inspires her creativity.
