Juul Haalmeyer on designing costumes for iconic Canadian television shows
Juul Haalmeyer is an Emmy Award-winning costume designer who made his mark during the golden age of Canadian television. He's worked on everything from the variety show The Pig and Whistle to the children's show Razzle Dazzle, but he may be best known for his work on the sketch comedy show, SCTV.
Now, Haalmeyer is being honoured with the Nobis Industry Icon Award at the Canadian Alliance of Film and Television Costume Arts and Design (CAFTCAD) Awards on Sunday, March 1 at the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto.
He joined host Tom Power live in the q studio to reflect on his work at SCTV, and how it feels to be recognized for his achievements.
