Musician Chad VanGaalen on juggling his personal life with his artistic passions

Chad VanGaalen is not only a musician, he's also a producer, a visual artist, a music video director and a dad. VanGaalen stopped by the q studio to play a few songs and to talk about how he's still recovering from a big loss.

Chad VanGaalen uses his voice, music and visual art to create surreal worlds of sound, pictures and emotion. His work has not only garnered him attention as a solo artist, but equal acclaim for his work with Timber Timbre and the cartoon network's Adult Swim. His latest album is called Light Information, but unlike the multimedia worlds he's created in the past, this is a world VanGaalen doesn't want to be a part of anymore.

Today, VanGaalen joins Tom Power for a performance and chat about his music, fatherhood and the anxiety of juggling his personal life with his artistic passions.
