'I went all in this time': Lights pushes boundaries on new album and comics

Canadian alt-pop star Lights is releasing a new album entitled Skin&Earth that is much more than a collection of songs. It's also the soundtrack to an entire universe that she's mapped out in comic book form, the result of an intense and unprecedented bout of creativity.

From the very start, Lights has courted a public that can be as obsessive and dedicated as any Star Trek, Star Wars or Lord of the Rings fan base.

The six-issue comic book series — a companion to her album — tells a post-apocalyptic tale of a hero named Enaia Jin.
