Elamin Abdelmahmoud is Buzzfeed's social media editor and q's online columnist. Every week, he brings us up to speed on the big headlines taking over the internet right now. Last week on the show, he and Tom Power agreed to give up social media for one week (with conditions).

They deleted all social media apps from their phones, but could still access Facebook, Twitter and Instagram on their computers. Now that the experiment is over, they're ready to share their findings.
