Great Lake Swimmers acoustically evolve on The Waves, The Wake

On their new album, Great Lake Swimmers forgo an instrument they've relied upon for a decade and a half: the acoustic guitar. Today, they give a sneak preview of The Waves, The Wake live in the q studio.

Great Lake Swimmers have been recording and touring for 15 years. Over that time they've released six albums and tomorrow they're going to release their seventh, The Waves, The Wake. On this album, the band decided to forgo an instrument they've relied upon for a decade and a half: the acoustic guitar. Today, they join guest host Laurie Brown live in the q studio to give a sneak preview of that album.
