To understand a man, walk a mile in his shoes ... and hair, and make-up.

Will Brooker is making international headlines with his unusual approach to studying music icon David Bowie. The Cultural Studies professor has pledged to live a year just as the famous artist would, right down to his diet and reading habits.

Brooker, who is working on a book about the artist, joins Shad to explain his motives for the year-long impersonation and why he thinks the experiment will give him better insight into Bowie's creative process.
