What's 2015 without the q Top 20 albums of 2015?! Our #3 pick comes from Montreal-based shape-shifting trio BRAIDS and their Polaris-short-listed album Deep In The Iris.

It's an album that's a departure from their last, but in a welcome non-disparaging way. It's sonically nimble, spacious; and presents frontwoman Raphaelle Standell-Preston's lyrics in a way that brings important clarity to the gender and identity politics she addresses throughout the album.
