Darryl "DMC" McDaniels won't stop rockin'

Pioneering hip hop artist Darryl "DMC" McDaniels reflects on staying relevant and inspired, mid-life and career.

Put down the coffee. You won't need it after this one.

Darryl "DMC"  McDaniels brings his infectious energy and rapid-fire storytelling to studio q. The pioneering hip hop musician joins Shad to discuss his recording career and more recent comic book project — and how both are rooted in his own superhero origin story.

The former "four eyes" takes us through his journey: from enduring bullying in his youth, to grieving the death of DJ Jam Master Jay, to coming back to life with the help of Sarah McLachlan.
