In this week's edition of the q sports panel, Shad checks in with CBC's Sonali Karnick and Bruce Arthur of the Toronto Star. 

At issue today:

  • ​Kobe Bryant, one of the greatest basketball players of his generation, is calling it quits.
  • A new study from the Mayo Clinic has some very disturbing news for anyone thinking about signing up their kids for football or hockey.
