Hawkins and Lightfoot launch Christmas with a laugh

Come down to the manger. Music legends and wise men Ronnie Hawkins and Gordon Lightfoot welcome the arrival of Christmas.

Talk about a holiday treat! Even in studio q, it's not every day that we welcome two musical legends at once.

Ronnie Hawkins and Gordon Lightfoot join Shad to chat about their holiday song Christmas Must Be Tonight. It's their heartfelt version of a tune by their old pals Robbie Robertson and The Band.

In a warm and wide-ranging conversation, Hawkins tells Shad what it was like to be back in studio for the first time since 2002, and Lightfoot revels in the joy of collaborating with his longtime friend.
