Are you Canada’s best new musical act? Are you looking for your big break? (CBC Music)

Searchlight is back! Today, CBC Music and CBC Radio One are launching the next quest for Canada's best new artist. If you're a musician seeking a wider audience, this may be your big break.

It's easy to enter. Just head to CBC Music's hub for all things Searchlight, create an artist profile, and enter your song before March 29.

A panel of esteemed Canadians musicians — Jenn Grant, Saukrates and Dan Boeckner — will help select the final winner. Music lovers will also have a chance to boost a fan favourite. Click here to listen to the entries submitted so far.

Voting opens March 30. The winner will be announced here on Q May 15.

To encourage thoughtful and respectful conversations, first and last names will appear with each submission to CBC/Radio-Canada's online communities (except in children and youth-oriented communities). Pseudonyms will no longer be permitted.
