"There are so many artists in Fredericton who are able to write with such depth, and I don't know if it's something in the water or living in a really beautiful place or having such a tumultuous life as a result of living in Fredericton!"

Opera singer Measha Brueggergosman clearly loves her hometown of Fredericton, N.B., and is not afraid to poke fun at it, too. Today, we asked Brueggergosman to put together a q block party for the East Coast city — a selection of songs that remind her of home. So, from reggae to experimental music, hit play to check out Brueggergosman's picks.

Brueggergosman's new memoir, Something is Always on Fire: My Life so Far, is out now. For a full list of her book tour dates, head over to her website.
