Over the last 25 years, A.R. Rahman has soundtracked more than 100 films, from Bollywood musicals to Hollywood blockbusters. But that's not all: he is also a singer and has released some of the biggest pop songs in India's history. There isn't much Rahman hasn't done.

This weekend in Toronto, his life's work is being celebrated with a retrospective called Ideal Dreams. Rahman stopped by q to discuss his many achievements over the years, and upon hearing some of his old hits, he's clearly still very proud of all his work.

"I feel very blessed and humbled," he says. "I just want to keep evolving."

Ideal Dreams: A Tribute to A.R. Rahman takes place Saturday, Feb. 4, at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto, Ont. For tickets and more information, head over to the Sony Centre website.
