Singer and songwriter Catherine MacLellan examines the life of her famous father Gene, and their shared struggles with depression in the new documentary The Song and the Sorrow. Catherine stopped by q to perform and talk about making the documentary.  

The Song and the Sorrow opens the Rendez-Vous with Madness Film Festival on October 10.
