Songwriter and poet Ingrid Chavez collaborated with Prince in song and on film in 1990's Graffiti Bridge.

She had yet to come to terms with Prince's death when Shad spoke with her.

"I'm feeling stunned," she tells Shad, "it feels like a dream, like it really hasn't happened. That this person who is — has been such a major part of my life — that he's no longer here."

Chavez remembers a man who believed in others and fostered their talents.

"He saw creative potential in people that some people may not have seen in themselves."
